We are not separate from life and the life we build on Earth is not separate from the galaxy that holds us. To rise is to claim what has always been ours, to remember who we were before we were told who to be.

Our Place in the Skies thoughtfully centers the Author’s experiences as a Black Woman, and the healing of Black People, to paint visions of a future rooted in a love that knows what’s what. To offer the possibility that the past has brought us to this moment, so we might ask; what if ours has always been a story of love?

Spanning 270 pages, and including over 110 poems, Our Place in the Skies dances between realm and reason to deliver a story of expanding consciousness. The poetry in this book engages with the complexities of Artistry, identity, oppression, spirituality, belonging, and power, all while remaining deeply committed to the creation of Love on Earth through an alignment with life itself.
